Our aim is to fund research into and raise awareness of meningitis and septicemia in the United Kingdom. We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations to fund our work, so your support really will make a difference. Exeter University: 18th June 2022 Southampton University: 23rd July 2022

Our vision Is a world free from meningitis and septicaemia. - Meningitis and septicaemia kill around 1,000 people around the world every day. - Babies and children under five and young people are especially vulnerable but anyone of any age can be affected. - Globally, up to 5% of all deaths of children aged under five are caused by meningitis and septicaemia. - A third of survivors have long term disabilities, like amputation, brain damage and deafness. At Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) we are driven by the call of people who have experienced the devastating effects of meningitis and septicaemia. The call is simple but powerful, to ensure "no other family has to go through what we have". Our vision is of a world free from meningitis and septicaemia. A world where effective vaccinations can protect everyone. A world where people who do get the diseases get the most effective diagnosis and treatments possible. A world where people affected and their families have the best support and information. We provide direct support to people and families affected. We believe that working in partnership with the knowledge, experience, skills and finance available from the private sector is essential to achieving long term and sustainable impacts. We fundraise, inform and educate. With a drive to continue ongoing work in the UK and Ireland whilst growing our international presence significantly, we are about to embark on a new phase of development for the charity.
