Every 30 seconds in Plymouth, police receive a domestic abuse related phone call, with a woman being abused in her own home every six seconds. Around the world, five women lose their lives at the hands of current or former male partner every single hour.
Plymouth-based, award-winning women’s charity, Trevi, provides safe and nurturing spaces where women fleeing abuse and can heal, grow, and thrive.
Currently in the UK, there are 82,000 children in care, with only 1 in 10 being reunited with their Mum. Trevi support Mums whose traumatic lives have led them to abuse drugs and alcohol, unable to see any way out. By offering tailored rehabilitation plans and trauma-informed care, they not only help women break free from the cycle of abuse but also enable them to become the best mothers they can be.
