Please jump for Animals In Distress to help us care for our furry friends while they wait for their forever homes. Over the last year, we\'ve really seen how important animals are to our wellbeing. Now we need your help so we can continue to support them in their hour of need. Thank you

Animals in Distress is a local animal welfare charity that takes in, cares for and rehomes over 400 cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs every year. Animals come to the Rescue Centre for a variety of reasons, including bereavement, illness, breakdown of relationships, financial hardship, straying, cruelty, neglect or abandonment. When the lives of South Devon’s pets fall apart, Animals in Distress is here to pick up the pieces. We aim to never turn away an animal in distress, and it is our policy to give them the best possible care while they are waiting to be rehomed. Every effort is made to ensure that prospective owners find the right pet for them. Home checks are carried out, and all animals are checked by our veterinary surgeon. All cats and dogs are microchipped, vaccinated and neutered before rehoming. Whilst staying with us they undergo a full training programme so that when they are rehomed they make the best pets! Without the help of our generous supporters in the local community and beyond, we simply wouldn’t be able to provide this vital service.
