Please take on the challenge of a lifetime for The Christie charity to benefit our cancer patients both now and in the future.

The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds for more than 40,000 cancer patients treated at The Christie every year. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.
Join team Christie by taking on a skydive and help us towards a future without cancer.
The Christie is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating over 44,000 patients a year. We are based in Manchester and provide a networked service that serves a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester and Cheshire delivering care as close to the patients home as possible.

The Christie charity is one of the largest hospital charities in the UK with 83p in every pound going directly to patients. The charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds but we could not do this without the wonderful support of fundraisers.

The charity has previously helped fund many projects at The Christie including:
- The Palatine Road treatment centre which houses all the trust's teenage and young adult cancer services and the new haematology and transplant inpatient unit which began treating patients in June 2014.
- The purchase of a state of the art hybrid diagnostic CT and Gamma Camera will enable us to pinpoint the exact location, size and shape of a patient's cancer with absolute precision and accuracy.

New developments at The Christie include:
- The UK's first NHS high energy proton beam therapy service, due to start treating patients in 2018. The Christie was selected to deliver this specialist treatment, along with University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Currently patients have to travel to America or Switzerland for this treatment
- A new integrated procedures unit due to open in 2016, bringing together the services that our day-patients need. Every aspect of their treatment will happen in one place, saving time and creating a seamless hospital experience.

As part of team Christie we'll support you every step of the way with your fundraising, you will receive a fundraising pack with top hints and tips as well as a free Christie T-shirt.

The money raised from this event will go a long way in helping The Christie's work to help fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects. For more information please contact the events team on 0161 446 3400 or email us at
