  • This is an opportunity to complete a solo parachute jump and put yourself in control of the skydive. You will have one day of training for the jump. You will make a solo parachute jump from 3,500 feet on the next jumping day. Your parachute will deploy (open) automatically as soon as you leave the aircraft and you will navigate yourself back to the dropzone for landing.

Please be aware that there are more restrictions than tandem skydives, for example maximum age 54, height/weight restriction but it is more fun!

Why jump for us?

The Sue Ryder charity believes that every person living with any kind of incurable illness has the right not just to receive specialist medical care, but also the emotional support they need to cope with the difficult and distressing effects of their illness. Even more than that, Sue Ryder believe that they deserve as much flexibility and freedom as possible to live out the rest of their lives in the way that they want. But this level of care comes at a price, a price that is becoming increasingly difficult to afford. We need your help to continue offering incredible care to those living with incurable illness. Join us and Skydive for Sue and help us to continue providing this incredible care.

About Us

At Sue Ryder we're passionate about giving people the care they want.
Some people believe that once you have a life-changing illness, there's little left.
We don't.
We believe it's the beginning of a new stage of life. A challenging one, true.

Our care is personal.
We start with the person as an individual with their strengths, characteristics, preferences and aspirations. Then we help them to be at the centre of the process of identifying their needs. We do this, so they're enabled to make choices about how and when they're supported to live their lives.

We are local.
We're in local communities across the country. We're concentrating our resources so we can find innovative ways to support people. Offering them choices about where they can receive their care. This can be in our hospices, day centres or day clinics, in the community or in people's own homes.

We're also joining up our community of supporters, shops and volunteers to make our presence stronger than its ever been before.
