We believe everyone facing a life-limiting illness should have access to the highest quality care, tailored to their needs and aimed at giving the best possible quality of life.
Rowcroft Hospice is striving to achieve this, through the on-going development of a specialist palliative care service for the communities of Torbay and South Devon, accessible to all who need it.
Care is given free of charge to over 1000 patients each year at the hospice, in residential and nursing homes, in community hospitals and in people's homes through services that include a community team, lymphoedema clinic, out-patient services and in-patient unit.
The hospice’s services are provided free of charge, but they are not without cost. Current expenditure for all the hospice’s services stands at £5.6 million each year. Rowcroft receives a NHS grant towards a third of this amount, leaving the hospice needing to raise £11,800 each day to provide its vital services.
